Stolen from the MFY-Stadium scoreboard at the game there this past Friday so if there are any errors, it's their fault.

No Pujols is a huge surprise based on spending significant time in both leagues but (looking it up) he logically never HR'd agains the Cardinals in just 12 ABs
|
Gwreck Jun 23 2015 06:46 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
All of the guesses above are incorrect.

Josh Hamilton only has 90 games as a National Leaguer. While he's prolific enough that he can certainly check off a few teams he didn't get as a Red during his teams' irregular visits with National League teams, I imagine the Reds at least still remain on his teams-to-get list.

MFS62 Jun 23 2015 07:25 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
Granderson.

Still no correct answers other than Beltran and Beltre.
|
Edgy MD Jun 23 2015 07:37 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
OK, I'll go with Juan Uribe.
|
Ceetar Jun 23 2015 07:38 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
McCann?
|
Benjamin Grimm Jun 23 2015 07:43 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |

I would say that this hint rules out Granderson, Cuddyer, and Francoeur.
|
Gwreck Jun 23 2015 07:48 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
McCann has homered against every team he's played against; but has never played a game against the Braves.
|
Edgy MD Jun 23 2015 07:55 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
Wow. Uribe sure felt like a crazy guess when I put it up there.

Not to mention the fact Grandy was already guessed above. Does anyone read the Cranepool anymore?

A J Pierzynski.

Yabbbut, guessed in photo-format only, so I don't know if it's actually "reading"...
|
John Cougar Lunchbucket Jun 23 2015 08:14 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
Obsessed with finding the low HR total ones. How about Reed Johnson?
|
Gwreck Jun 23 2015 08:14 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
Pierzynski is missing the Braves and Giants (only 2 NL teams he played for)
|
Gwreck Jun 23 2015 08:16 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
26 teams for Reed. And somehow only 1 against the Mets (seems low)

Russell Martin is correct. 129 career homers, but at least one against all 30 teams.
|
Edgy MD Jun 23 2015 10:03 AM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
Can we get a list of all the correct and incorrect guesses? I keep wanting to say "Cabrera," and then I type "Cabr..." and realize for the fourth time that he's been guessed already.

Yes! 108 homers but he's done it against everyone. This was the player at Friday's MFY/Tigers tilt that had the scoreboard fact next to his picture that prompted this quiz. 3 answers remain on the board.

I seem to recall that he played for the Mets at one point.
|
Edgy MD Jun 23 2015 04:02 PM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
More than ignoring the clue that the remaining players have not played for the Mets, there is no physical way Wright could have homered against at least one team.
|
Gwreck Jun 23 2015 04:53 PM Re: Off-Day Trivia |
Time to close this as the game is quickly approaching.

So much for my Jonathan Lucroy guess.
