It's doesn't feel like work when you love what you do

My son currently works as a Conservation Researcher at the North Caroloina Aquarium at Fort Fisher while completing his degree in marine biology. Earlier this month, he got to help with the release of some rehabilitated sea turtles. Here are a few pictures of my son and a some of his Aquarium coworkers releasing one of the turtles. My son is the stocky one on the right front.

Where is he getting his degree?
One of my grandkids is interested in marine biology.

Doc's son.
And that's why I asked the question.

The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli.

University of North Carolina at Wilmington. They are located a few miles from the water and close to the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. They have a great program in marine biology and oceanography.

Y'know, honestly, if the sea turtles would drink a little more responsibly then they wouldn't need rehab and wouldn't have to be carried to their next destination.

What a strange long trip it's been....

After 3 colleges and 3 different majors, my son, Nate, graduated from college this morning. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with his BS in Marine Biology from University of North Carolina - Wilmington. Better yet, he has been working part-time, 25-29 hours a week at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher for the past 15 months. He will continue to work at the aquarium while pursuing his masters degree. His girlfriend for the past 3 years, Chelsea, graduated Summa Cum Laude with her BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.. She also was distinguished as the top scholar in the in the Biology Department of the university as voted by the faculty. She has also been hired as a graduate assistant in Biochemistry and will begin work on her masters degree this fall. To make the day complete, my niece graduated Cum Laude in Psychology from UNC-W as well today. She has been accepted into the postgraduate program and will begin work on her masters in psychology this August.

Here is a picture of the happy couple...*

Congrats all around, Doc. But about your niece.
Be careful. Be very careful.
My older daughter (the runner's mom) started out as a Biology major. Between her Junior and Senior years, she told us she was switching to a new (at the time) major - Psycho-Biology and would be taking a lot of Psychology courses. When I asked her why she wanted to take the Psych courses, she replied "So I can understand you and mom better".
