At least he thinks the remaining six weeks will be mild.

Six more weeks of a winter like this one would not break my heart.

Of course he saw his shadow, the big rodent has more production lighting
on him than The Rockettes.

I predicted a blizzard a couple of weeks ago about two and a half weeks
into February and I'm sticking by it.

Don't we actually need six weeks of winter first before we can get 6 more?

I read that the guy who drags Phil out of his hole every year is giving up the job because it takes up too much of his time.

Hmmmm. One day each year he wakes up a reluctant woodchuck, and holds him up in the air for a few photos. Then he has 364 consecutive days off.

It does sound pretty frenetic.

It's hard work translating Grounhog into English.

Knocking on wood, we've all been fortunate that a mild January has coincided with very high fuel costs. Everybody figured the economy would take a big whack when the heating bills came, but doesn't look like ours will be all that outrageous.

I'm addicted to oil.

I like the extra virgin olive oil myself.

I'm just glad that cars don't run on it. It costs something like $18 per gallon!

Arriviste Staten Island Chuck has predicted an early spring.

Who to believe? Local pride or tradition?

I think that Staten Island Chuck is a groundhog that all Americans can be proud of.

That's got to be Chuck, a PA groundhog would be much more polite

Chuck and Chuck. One's a senator, the other is a groundhog:
