It was to the Snakes that the Mets dealt him, along with Nelson Figueroa, for Willie Blair and Jorge Fiberglass. It would be another dozen years before Nellie felt really betrayed.

I noticed that too yesterday, and felt all duh when I searched
and found it is first base coach Tom Goodwin.

That's not Tom Goodwin. It's Collin Cowgill (name on top) on a 2011 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions Mini.

Upper Deck released its Goodwin Champions sets as a direct response to Topps's tobacco card based Allen & Ginter line.

The UD Goodwins are based on the 1880's Goodwin & Co. tobacco cards, a broad-based line of cards depicting the pop culture of the day, including some of the earliest baseball card sets ever.

Here's some pictures of the original 1888's and then some 2009 UD Met Goodwins.

And Snakey-Met Chris Young on a 2009 UD Goodwin Champion:

The D-Backs weren't in existence during Tom Goodwin's MLB career.

Here's some cards from UD's 2011 Goodwin set:

I always forget to include Pedrique in the DBack thread.
