Battled?

I am getting wearing of managers and players saying we "battled" after a loss. Per CBS Noah, "We battled our fannies off until the tail end" And he wants to be called Thor? The possible Wally Backman version, WE ARE HERE TO WIN NOT TO FREAKING BATTLE. IF YOU WANT TO FREAKING BATTLE BUY A FREAKIN BATTLESHIP GAME AND CALL OUT F U! Now go sign some autographs.

Yeah, I'm not going to go FU on Syndergaard. I got nothing against a guy praising his teammates, even in loss. I do, however, have something against the superhero nicknames.

I see no similarities between Matt Harvey and Batman. You'll never catch me referring to Syndergaard as Thor, or using any Batman references in regard to Matt Harvey.
