Seriously. I have been watching this HR on loop all morning. What a fantastic moment. A couple of things I read this morning that I missed last night.

After he tossed the helmet aside, before he jumped into the scrum at home plate, he pounded his chest two or three times, pointing to the logo across it.

I was there last night, with the family. We had great seats, it was a warm but lovely night, no traffic in or out, a pitcher's duel with some great defensive plays, late inning drama... but we tired by the 10th and watched the thrilling moment at the end on TV. Damn it.

The other really cool part you can see on the clips was that Wilmer hit that HR so hard that all of Felipe Rivero's tattoos fell off right there on the CitiField mound!

Yes, it reminds me of Hobbs knocking the lights out in "The Natural."

I tweeted last night that the Mets needed to have racks of FLORES 4 shirts up and down the concourses; they'd sell thousands right now.

As I mentioned in the IGT, Many players are liked, rooted for or loved. But Wilmer has become beloved, the way Fonzie was. And I think he will be for years to come. Later
