NL JRR RoY Race

As it sits today, Noah Syndergaard isn't a very strong candidate for the big prize, although he's certainly maneuvering to get in on the money. It appears to be Kris Bryant and Matt Duffy's race. (Kris, meet Billy Hamilton.)

The good news is that pitchers can make up ground pretty fast. (Noah, meet Jacob deGrom.) The bad news, such as it is, is that the team is threatening to curb Syndergaard's innings down the stretch.

Good to see him leading among pitchers, but if he's going to make a move, he can start by leaving the Mr. Hyde-on-the-road act behind this evening.

Re: NL JRR RoY Race

I don't think Noah will catch up in the overall race, but I hope he keeps up his pace (and for Jungmann to fall back a bit). It would be nice for the Mets to have the best rookie pitchers in the NL for two years running.

Re: NL JRR RoY Race

Does The Sporting News still give a Rookie Pitcher of the Year Award? And if they do, does anybody care?

Re: NL JRR RoY Race

Kang is also coming on strong.
Grichuk was just DL'd
Pederson has much of his accumulation from the first half of the season
