What's the point...

of pages like this one? http://taukahagan.com/tag/-mets-18-cal- ... -york-mets I know that it's seeded with terms so that the pages show up in search engine results, and to trick people into visiting the page, but to what end? The page doesn't provide anything of value to the visitor, and I don't see how getting visitors benefits the people hosting the page. (The way I found this, by the way, is because Google sends me alerts when pages reference the UMDB.)

The only value is the money someone gets every time someone clicks on the site. Just because we can't see how they get it doesn't mean they don't. If not, nobody would have bothered to set up and run the site. Later
