Was Kevin Burkhardt a jinx?

The Mets have won the N.L. East every year that they've been on SNY, except for the years that Kevin Burkhardt was their sideline reporter. We loved Kevin, but I'm afraid he was holding the Mets back.

I'd hate to promote the idea that Gelbs is the reason for their winning. Someone in authority might hear that and keep him around. But, who knows? Later
