SNY Mets Classics 2015

Use this thread to pick the games you expect to see (or would like to see) as a future SNY Mets classic. I'll start:

7/31: The Wilmer game vs. the Nats on trade deadline day (the one that started it all).
8/24: David returns; goes upper deck, Mets hit 8 homers in a comeback win over the Phillies.
9/8: Nats bullpen implodes, Mets overcome 7-1 deficit, then Kirk goes kaboom off Papelbon.
9/9: Mets again beat Nats bullpen; Cespedes, in the middle of his torrid stretch, goes deep off Storen to ice it.
9/13: Mets down to last strike, use 3-run bomb by Murphy to propel them to extra inning win in Turner Field.

What other 2015 games do you expect to find on SNY in the near future?

4/27: Gee pitches a beauty in Miami, the game only lasts 1:58, Murphy hits a 3-run HR in the 9th, Mets win 3-1, I'm there.

The Kirk triple-boom and the Duda triple-boom certainly were pretty classick.

I'd also have to add the Matz debut and the dancing grandpa.

OE: I also want to give an honorable mention to this game: http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/mlb/gameday ... ay-by-play

Last exhibition game of the spring. Mets are down 4-0 in the ninth, playing Texas at TBA. They've had four hits the whole game and you get the idea that they just want to get this game out of the way. But they are the Mets, and that means they are not. To be. Fucked with.

Bases empty and two outs. Monell walks. Mayberry singles. Reynolds walks. And BOOM! A grand slam by Anthony Recker ties it.

The game is called a tie and both teams are sent off to start the regular season, but a win has been stolen, by four guys who among them will provide about 25 cents of contributions the rest of the way. But the message is clear. The Mets are not. To be. Fucked with.

Syndergaard's August 2nd performance against the Nats was amazing...but that was an ESPN Sunday night game, so I don't think it's qualified.

That was the first time I had seen a packed Citi Field electrified from start to finish outside of season openers. It was also the point at which I put Noah on the same level with deGrom and Harvey in terms of my confidence level in him during big games.

Good suggestions. I'm also fairly certain we'll see the division clincher against Cincinnati.

Familia blows a save in the 9th as Blue Jays tie, fall behind by 1 in the 11th, but Mets score 2 with 2 out in the bottom 11th to win (Flores GW single). http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes ... 6150.shtml

The uniclone 14-9 games in Colorado (added bonus - since they were late games, many Mets fans slept through much of these games). The Friday night game featured Cespedes hitting three home runs, and the Saturday game had a solid orange showing by The 7 Line in left field.

2nd shortest game of the year in all of MLB btw.
Only this one was shorter, a game featuring dual CGs by Chris Sale (108 pitches) and ** Surprise ** Mark Buehrle (104) which clocked in at 1:54 despite a relatively high 6 runs on 15 hits (combined). No BBs and a total of only 6 Ks helped.
See, Mr. Commissioner, it CAN be done.

That's it for the thread hijack. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Colon's shutout of the Marlins, complete with the behind-the-back flip. Play of the year.

Syndergaard throws a gem and hits a dinger in a day game at Citi against Philly.

SNY has already designated one 2015 Mets Classic and aired it twice: the Steven Matz Game of 6/28.

A lifetime of repeating the same half dozen classics, while dozens (nay hundreds) of others go musty in Jay Horwtiz' virtual garage.
