Ah-seop Son

Outfielder who has had his rights posted by the Lotte Giants of KBO. High average, high OBP, relatively low in the power department. Will be 28 next season, which is younger than virtually all MLB free agents. KBO works with the old posting system, which means all bids are blind. Additionally, the team can withdraw him if they don't like the high bid.

I'd have to read one or two of his fables before giving
him any serious thought.

You're thinking of his father.

This is his son.

Just posting this because the Mets are going to need an outfielder and Centerfield has expressed underwhelming feelings about the free agent and internal options, apart from Cespedes. This might be a third route. Might.

Man, there's not a large difference between Korean baseball players and NASCAR drivers with regard to how they are tricked out, is there?

I was just gonna comment on that...wow, ugly.

Is that where MLB is eventually heading? I know a few years back Al Leiter was a big proponent of ads on the unis

Al Leiter is a big proponent of cash in his pocket.

If that came to pass, apart from the ugliness, we could probably expect a work stoppage or four as the players and owners fought over this new pot.

Do the players get paid for endorsements or is it a team thing?

I think in the case of a uniform the team would get the moolah.

Shinjo and Kaz Matsui memories make me skeptical.

Ah, double posting on poor Ah-seop.

I don't know what this guy has, but staying out of the Korean market because you're disappointed with two Japanese recruits doesn't strike me as very scientific.
