Putting a face to the name

It came up in a thread today about meeting people irl outside
of this marsh-like hangout so I thought I'd look at the member
list and take a headcount.

I've knowingly met [crossout:2dmefnb8]32[/crossout:2dmefnb8] 33 people who post here. There's a bunch
of double and triple identities that of course I didn't count.

Maybe-one-day list on quick look (no one left off intentionally):

[list:2dmefnb8]Seo
Grimm
B'mags
duan
D'jesus
Elster
Lefty S
metirish
MgiM
Oldmole
T'monk
Reality Chuck[/list:u:2dmefnb8]

I've met Seo, Grimm, Batmags, Metirish and theoldmole.

As much as I feel that I know MGIM, I don't think that we've actually met in person (have we?).

I've met JCL, Gwreck, El Segundo Escupidor and G-Fafif. I was invited to hang out with Seawolf17 at the end of September while he was in my neck of the woods, but I couldn't swing it. :(

I'm planning a trip to NYC to see a couple ballgames next summer. I'm hoping that even if it's not a main CPF gathering I can maybe cross a few more off the list while I'm in town.

We really should have an annual outing at a game, we've been at
all this a long time. We used to have a year-end meet up too. When
you have some dates float 'em here and maybe we can use them as
a starting point to plan something.

Yes, Cooby - we've met.

Ironically, of all the people I've met, MGIM is one who I haven't, and he used to live in my hometown.

I met about 5 or 6 of you at Shea a few years ago.
I remember Kase (he did the introductions), Steve Jeets and maybe Vic. It happened fast.

recall seeing you at good ol' Shea but as you said it was fast.

We met at Citi Field, upper deck for a Mets/Dodgers tilt in April when it was colder than hell. Fboy and I were there, him wearing a spiderman hat/mask.

I have also met Seawolf, Seo, GFafif, metfairy and Ddad, soupcan, SJR, LWFS, and SecondSpitter over the years.

As far as I know, I've only met one person on this board, a long time ago in a universe far, far, away. (And you're not that person, sorry).

Alas, I think I've only been able to meet G-FAFIF, though I've had that pleasure twice! The whole living in Michigan thing makes it a challenge.

But, the Mets are in Detroit in August. C'mon over and see how far Detroit has come. It's the Comeback City in the Comeback State! I'd love to serve as official host.

Re: Putting a face to the name

How did this family oriented thread wind up in the red light forum?

Anyway, my old college bud and I are passing through Albuquerque on a drive from Phoenix to Cleveland, so I got in touch with that jagoff A Boy Named Seo and after arguing about it for a bit, we're meeting for a beer tonight at some shipping container off Interstate 40. Really looking forward to it. Pictures to follow.

A good time was had by all. We tried to engineer a trade for Kipnis, without success. Also made plans to take over Fman's house for a CPF outing to watch the Sky Chiefs in 2019.

And I've learned that I've completely lost my tolerance for beer. A picture will be posted once I get the motivation to decrease the resolution so it fits.
