Salsa/pop supastar, supporting player in Big Night, and MLBS Marc Anthony is entering the agency game, and his first client is Aroldis Chapman.

Would be funny if Anthony's MLBSness got the Mets buttloads of clients on the cheap but just as likely this new gig will test his love.

The latter is probably more likely, but the former sure is a tempting thought.

One thing was clear from the Canó/Jay Z thing: that a big shot wanting to get into the agency racket has a ton of pressure to hit a homer his first time out. And with the Yankees pledging to back off of free agency, that's going to be a tough bar to reach. Maybe it's good for him that his first big fish is a year out from free agency.

"No Sandy. I don't think the numbers you are floating out there will impress my client. Now, if the Mets were to start playing You Sang To Me after every win, maybe I can get him feeling a bit more receptive..."

"My call with Dombrowski is happening in ten minutes. Are you going to revise your offer before I talk to him? Tell me, Baby Boy, because I need to know."

Re: Touché, Jay Z

Didn't Uribe use a MA song as his walkup music?

Potential client!

Yes, that song became a big favorite in the Lunch Residence, were singing it for days after we saw Uribe hit before we knew what it was.

I'm not sure that I know any Marc Anthony songs. Or if I do know some I don't know that I know them.

The one Uribe used is "Vivir Mi Vida" but I discovered recently that's actually a Marc Anthony remake of the French-Arabic song "C'est La Vie" by Alergian pop star Khaled:

Calls for a re-watch.

In about 100 scenes, but perhaps zero (or close to zero) lines.
