The only thing I have remaining is that I have to draw a picture of Jimmy Fallon on a honeydew.

And I'm not kidding about this.

I was so bad this year. Couldn't think of anything to buy people and all ofa sudden it's christmas. bleh.

Hosting for the first time ever, which just adds to the chores. Still have to vaccuum and clean the house, cut the rainbow cookies, make chocolate chips, but coffee at Whole Foods for my father, maybe pick up another sixpack of beer or something for @DaylightAtheism, maybe make Wassail, put together a fischer price kitchen thingy, wrap a bunch of gifts, maybe sleep a little.

I'm floating holiday tomorrow though, so I'm done in about 4 hours.

Is that part of your "honeydew" list?

I have to clean, have a few things to wrap, maybe bake. Tomorrow night a few of us ladies are surprising a family down the street with some candle bugs. (the young son has brain cancer, and it's not going well)

Otherwise, I think I'm set, and if I'm not, oh well.

Bring on January.

Working today, normal hours, though they may cut us loose an hour early. Off tomorrow, working next week Monday-Wednesday and off New Years' Eve and Day for a nice four day weekend.

Closed down the office and sent everyone home at 5:00 PM yesterday. Free until Monday morning when it is back to the grind. Hopefully, I don't have to go in for any emergency visits over the Christams weekend.

All gifts bought and wrapped, so I can mostly relax and enjoy time with the family for a few days.

Here in the cubie goofing off till noon, then not back till Januaray (if ever).

Plan tonight is to grill! Too nice out not to. All but 1 gift wrapped. Need to secure hooks for stockings, clean up the house, and prepare the goose to be cooked.

We wound up doing this on the stovetop, not the grill but it turned out great.

Goose stuffed with shallots and oranges, and potatoes roasted in the goose fat today, that's become a xmas tradition here. I have improved my technique on this recipe to the point where I no longer set the oven and bird on fire with splashed grease and smoke.
