Crap...I voted that I didn't know what a yo-yo was. I do know and I don't own one (doubtful that I'm in the market). I thought (absentmindedly) that this thread was about a new offering from the donut place (I know, DUNKIN). I should read carefully before voting.

I have one or two kicking around. It was something of a fad at our dorm in college. I learned a few simple tricks: sleeping (of course), walk the dog, spank the baby, around the world, and rock the cradle.

I remember having the imperial and the butterfly when I was a kid. I wish you included "I used to yo-yo" as an option.

Lunchpail and his 4th grade buds went through a yoyo phase in school earlier this year but it seems to have died down after they all got video consoles for xmas. I strongly recommended he get a Duncan Imperial over a cooler-looking one with lights but didn't "sleep."

I believe I had one as a teen for a short stint, and probably did as a younger kid as well, but never really was much into them (sez the idiot with a juggling habit). So that puts me in the 'Don't own one / don't expect to be getting one' category.

I spent many long winter evenings during my pre-teen years in Duluth, trying to master tricks with my Green Duncan Imperial yo-yo. I have a yo-yo made of maple hardwood that my wife gave me as a stocking stuffer 20 years ago. Haven't messed with it in years, but it still sits on a shelf in the stereo cabinet behind my computer desk.
