I voted Yes-Pedes. That's the year right there.

As historians look back on the winner many years from now, they will remember that the Cespedes acquisition was the story of this year. Conforto will have that honor for many years to come.

Also be aware that "story of the year", while a valid criteria, isn't the only criteria to use. The only instruction is to vote for the cover you like best, for whatever reason.

The minor headlines play a factor in this for me. I'm all in on YES-PEDES.

Ben, it wasn't my only reason. I also liked the expressions on the players and the guy wearing the bag out of embarrassment.

I love both covers, but went with "YES-PEDES".

Love the expressions. Dead Nats. Green arm sleeve.

Conforto's coming out party was great, but when the Mets swept the Nats I was dancing.

Plus the MFY's are tumbling in the top banner.

It's no fair. If he signed with the Orioles, Conforto would be kicking his ass.

He's getting a retroactive boost!

I have to think this was part of his plan. It's like in politics, when there's an "October surprise."

The layouts kinda BOTH suck on these. The Conforto one sucks less.

That's what most people would have said about the Mets & Royals too.
