He's here! After forty weeks and six days of wandering through the great unknown that is pregnancy, I give you... MiniWolf. Born last night at 10:45 pm: seven pounds, fifteen ounces. First official Mets cap photo will be posted tonight.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Please tell me you didn't name him MiniWolf! (Lobo would be kinda cool, though.)

You have a heckuva ride ahead of you! As a parent of two, I can tell you that there's nothing cooler. Enjoy!

Is that right hand stuck to his cheek?

It's baby's first mannerism.

Is he a lefty? The Mets could use a lefty.

seawolf17

Yeah, he seems to love having that right hand up. Sometimes the left one comes with it, but that right one is always there. It was there in all the ultrasounds, too.

MiniPeanut, reminding MiniWolf who's in charge around these parts.

Okay, the little man is home. Mom and baby are both doing well (although both are pretty exhausted), and Peanut is literally quivering with excitement. He gave the baby a good sniff or two (or thirty), and seems generally pleased. Hopefully he'll eventually relax.

Don't worry about him holding the arm high. Just don't let him drop down and become a sidearmer. They have a tough time getting lefties out.

Speaking of which, when are your twins due?

And when is the little Dickshot supposed to make his appearance?

Lundy
Mar 01 2006 08:32 AM

They're officially due June 15, but we were told they could be as early as May 15 because twins need to come out eariler. We're now telling everyone it will be shortly after Memorial Day.

Jeez, let's just get it over with and change the name of this place to 'The Stork Pool'

The good news is that twins' lungs mature more quickly than single birth babies' lungs to.

Best of luck to you and the family!

Crap...sorry I missed this before. Congratulations seawolf! You're about to go on an amazing ride. I'm 6 months into fatherhood myself and I can tell you it is like nothing you could have imagined. The kid is beautiful. You should be very proud.

Just don't let him post in the CPF until he's 21.

First day of "school" today, as my leave is over and Mr. Baby gets to go to day care. So far so good; they say he's sleeping soundly right now. I'm doing pretty well, as I've been pretty busy catching up on things at work, but I'm sure my wife is a nutcase right now.

It's a well known fact that babies love hairbushes.

Johnny Dickshot
Feb 26 2007 08:38 AM

She Wolf is from Minnesota I think.

seawolf17
Feb 26 2007 11:04 AM

No, she's from Rochester. (Somewhat more tropical than Minnesota.) And yes, I actually was a radio guy in a past life.

Took lots of photos this weekend at the big first birthday bash. The Peanut cake was a big hit:

As was the fancy new hat:

It's never to early to indoctrinate your child into life as a Mets fan. I'm glad little wolf is getting a proper upbringing.

ScarletKnight41
Feb 26 2007 01:47 PM

Love the cake!

SteveJRogers
Feb 26 2007 04:45 PM

Not too wild about the Disney indoctrination though =;)

And please do not give MiniWolf any thing with Elmo on it. Please let him know that Sesame Street existed long before that red furball broke out into Elvis like porportions!

A certain tall yellow bird is much, much more acceptable for play toys! As well as a lovable blue lump with a fettish for shortbreaded circles with chocolates stuffed in them!

On a serious note, my sister has overloaded my nephew with Leap Frog products Some quality stuff for the pre-school set.
