Thanks all. Thanks especially for the delicious lipstick cake. (How did you know?) My wife surprised me this morning with a copy of an exotic book called Amazin' Again. We then took a drive through the country where our stops included a used book store where I discovered a copy of We Won Today, the mother of all Mets fan memoirs and a longtime target of mine. It has no dust jacket but has the cover photo printed and adhered onto the boards. I guess it was published that way without a dust jacket. As I fade off to sleep tonight I'm going to read the snot out of it.
