Listen, Buddy, I signed with the Mets to play some baseball and that's what I intend to do. But no, with all youse fickle fans, first it's "WAAA! He's not Cespedes! He's not good enough! The Mets are cheap!" Then it's all "WAAA!! Now that they got Cespedes, he costs too much! The Mets are too wasteful!" Stop it. You're embarrassing yourselves. I'm going to play baseball and try to outhit Chris Young. And I'm going to do it until they tell me to stop. How well do you think I'll do it?

He'll get into 60 games, mostly for defense and pinch hitting. He'll go .278/ .320/ .355. Then he'll be traded to fill another need toward the end of the season. Later

Not embarrassed for WAAA'n about a poor acquisition. He won't be around the whole season.
