Dilson Herrera, released from camp to play qualifying games for the 2017 World Baseball Classic, hits a go-ahead homer to give his team a big win over Panama, qualifying Colombia for their first-ever WBC berth.

Also STRAIGHT OUTA SAINT LUCIE was Mets minor leaguer Nabil Crismatt, who started for Colombia and threw the first 3.1 innings, striking out four. HERO.

Here's Dilson celebrating with his teammies after pounding Team Spain 9-2 a few days ago.

He's got the good face. Got a little Jackie Robinson in him.

I watched a little bit of that game last night. ESPN Deportes is my new favorite channel.

Isn't Dilson like 5'5"? How short is team Colombia?

Dil is listed at 5'10", and he's certainly 2-4" shorter than the two men who flank him, but yeah, it's not a country that has produced a lot of NBA centers.
