Soothsaying for Sixteen: David Wright
Edgy MD Apr 23 2016 01:15 PM |
Don't get me started. Every year, folks climb all over each other to write me off. Every strikeout with runners on base isn't a failure in the moment, but a testament to what I've become. But I'm not bitter. Maybe I'm not who I was. I don't know. But who I was and who I is are so tied up in myth, it's hard to get a handle on either. Every day, I'm still grinding.

He will have a big year and shut up his naysayers.

That would be Strawberry for HRs: needs 15 to tie, 16 to pass As for the rest ... 1,000 Runs -- needs 60 from this point on 1,000 RBI -- needs 40 400 Doubles -- needs 11 800 Walks -- needs 55 200 Steals -- needs 5 ... those all seem doable. Would be a nice year for milestones if he could reach them all. Is on pace right now to play in 133 games.

I'm basically predicting no DL I guess. I think both Terry and David will are probably going to push it a little harder than early-season average when it's crunchtime.
