Re: NBA Draft

There have always been accusations that it is rigged.
In the next few days I'm sure the internet will be filled with writers trying to prove it.
It does seem more than lucky that college star players have always found their way to teams in large TV markets.

As for my team, it'll be good to be Jewish and a Nets fan during this year's draft. I'll be able to celebrate pass over twice this year.

Re: NBA Draft

Yeah, how did the Knicks & Nets do in this year's lottery?
And tell me again which superstars they got in exchange for dealing away any shot at a future? On second thought, don't tell me.

As far as those who think the NBA draft is rigged, why would one think that and yet continue to follow the sport?
It's a question I ask of those NFL fans who complain weekly about rigged refereeing and scheduling and the like but at the same time continue to not only follow the sport religiously but bet on it as well.

Re: NBA Draft

This is sports.
Don't try to be logical.
Fandom is visceral.

Re: NBA Draft

The NBA isn't that smart. Not rigged. Although the Mutombo tweet was hilarious.

Re: NBA Draft

The first team to pick, Philly is first in something else.

In 2017-18 their uniforms will have a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 advertiing patch for Stubhub. First team in the four major sports to do it. Three year deal Stubhub pays 5 million a year for the ad.

They should stick one on Ben Simmons tonight.
