Searching seems to be working much better on this version of phpBB. It's always been bad and I hope it continues. I've only used it once to find SNY in a subject heading and bingo.

About a week or two ago, I was searching for one of those contests that Grimm ran this off-season with the Met themed tabloid covers. Specifically, the newspaper with Cespedes and a tag line of "Yo Yo Yo". I spent 10 or 15 minutes and --naturally -- I couldn't find it. So I gave up and told the search engine to go fuck itself.

When I wrote that I couldn't find it, I should have, more accurately, written that the posts I was searching for didn't come up. Even though they should have. And I should've been able to read that post about 30 seconds after I searched for it.

The point is/was the search seems to work better here. If you have old beefs, start a new thread!

A few weeks prior to the switch I noticed that something had started causing posts older than a few weeks maybe to be returned as 'could not find' (or however it phrased things) by the search feature. Not sure what changed but it was as if the search feature suddenly had nothing but a very short term memory and so all posts except for the most recent were treated the same as one of the archived threads already removed from the active part of the forum.
