Mem Day Weekend O-o-T-S

Sometimes after a couple of bad games (well one bad game plus a large blown lead from the night before) it helps to look at other fucked-up outings throughout the league.

- The White Sox [u:21177rra]blew a 7-1 9th inning lead[/u:21177rra] in KC. Former Yank David Robertson even got the leadoff batter in the 9th, but six hits, a walk, two intentional walks, and a wild pitch later, a bases-loaded single by a 27 y/o rookie call-up in his 2nd ever ML game (Brett Eibner) won it for the Royals.

- Boston was almost as bad (bad day for teams with Sox) surrendering 4 in the 8th then 2 more in the 9th to lose to Toronto. Kimbrel didn't start the trouble but he also couldn't save it.

- Yu Darvish went 5 innings for Texas and got the win vs Pitt in his first game since TJ surgery in Aug of 2014

And for our own mental health and well being, the Nats, Marlins, Phils, and Yanx all lost on Saturday -- even if probably not is as annoying a fashion as we did.

Harper just pulled a boner. lol, he looked so foolish.

2-1 Phils

Zimmerman just tripled

Oh, replay ruins other teams games too.

If the Phillies can convert this 2-2 tie into a victory, the Mets will end Memorial Day weekend in first place, which isn't bad, considering.

Slacker Phillies remember that they suck, losing 4-2 in the ninth.

Harper took a mean fastball to the knee and it looked bad. If he plays tomorrow I'll be very impressed. I didn't know about the HBP when I saw that baserunning blunder. The plunk may have contributed to his lackadaisical return to first.
