I have an agent.

I just received word: My books are now being represented by Vaughne Hansen of the Virginia Kidd Literary Agency. I'm . .. well, thrilled doesn't begin to cover it. Her letter made me giddy. Not only because she'll be my agent (she's represented people like Ursula K. Leguin, Gene Wolfe, and Alan Dean Foster), but because she and another agent at Kidd wanted to represent me (she won :) ). Also she hasn't even finished reading the book! And they're giving me a full contract instead of the provisional ones they give to newcomers.

This may be bragging a bit, but the novel is now being read by a top editor at Tor Books. After only two weeks!
