These are your 2016 New York Mets!

One here and on to St. Louis.

Well, let's not rush to leave our hearts in San Francisco quite so fast. There's a 4 o'clocker
this afternoon and an ESPN game tomorrow night. That's if they'll still have us. Two more
means there's still a possibility of a split, not that they've given much indication that they
could beat their ways out of a wet paper bag.

RH Bartolo Colon (10-7, 3.38 ERA) vs. LH Matt Moore (7-9, 4.14)

Is it strange that on a Saturday there is at least one or two 1pm ET games? Our game
from California is the first game today in all of baseball.

Of course they will. They will enjoy yakking about how horrendous we have been lately. That's an hour of chit chat right there.

Saturday daytime baseball is essentially dead, local TV money makes it more profitable at night.
And while it's also understandable in August, particularly in say Atlanta, or those hot midwestern towns, or even NYC, April & September games are no different.
The Mets didn't have a 1 o'clock EDT game all year and this is their final 4:00 of the year. The final six Saturdays are all Eastern time zone (four home plus Atlanta & Philly) and they're all 7:00

The one team that sticks to their 1:00 Saturday time slot (unless national TV compels them to do otherwise) is the Yanx.

I guess I haven't been 'tuned in' but I thought MLB Extra Innings usually has at
least a game or two on on Saturday afternoon.

If there are any then, sure, 'EI' will carry them, but unless the Yanx are home and not on FOX that particular day there usually aren't any to be found.

Drunk guys playing softball on a Sunday afternoon have more base-path sense
than some of the Mets have been having lately.

DOUBLE - SINGLE - DOUBLE - WALK [u:zs7pyiqo]in consecutive ABs[/u:zs7pyiqo] somehow equals just one run.

I keep turning the pages of this book but it's the same script on every page.

I believe Reyes now has the team lead in stolen bases.

No baserunners were harmed in the making of this top of the 3rd inning ... at least not so far.

If we blow this game I'm taking a vacation. Not sure where, but it'll be a place where I can't possibly watch Mets games.

Central PA is a suggestion, LOL! I only see about three or four a year, on other teams' stations

I only tuned in for about one inning.

Guess which one.

Re: IGT 8/20 Mets v S.F B Colon v. M Moore FS1

Had an early dinner with the fam tonight, and they turned on the game in the bar. My daughter asked if they were at Citi Field, and I said, "No, they're in San Francisco. And the stadium there is really nice, because the water is right over the fence, and if you hit a home run out to right field, it could land in the water."

Which Denard Span did, literally five seconds after I said that.

That was eerie.

My favorite parts were the audible gasps from the crowd during the Cespedes home runs.

Cute story. Now, please save that kind of stuff for when the Mets are at bat.
