Sharknado 4 IGT

The Sharknado series started out as sophisticated sci-fi before devolving into a campy string of cameos, product placement and chainsaw kills. OK, the devolving actually started before the credits of the first installment. Well, probably it all went south at the meeting when the writer tossed the premise on the table and someone said, "Hey, that just might work!" But the second one had all kinds of Mets content, which buys the series a lot of forgiveness. The third episode had Kim Richards, heart throb of every young Mets fan growing up in the 1970s, But I thought the third installment suspended disbelief a little, with a billionaire reality television star -- Mark Cuban -- playing the president. But now it seems Sharknado is predicting the future, so we have to pay close attention to tonight's fourth installment. Get ready!

You never saw the Disney non-cartoon movies? Really? None that I know of - and certainly not ESCAPE FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN (whatever that is). I mean Dennis Quaid in THE ROOKIE carried the Disney imprint as did other movies that I may have seen at some point, but I don't think those are the movies you're talking about and I was pretty well removed from Disney's target demographic by the time they started fancying themselves a movie company.

Poor Little Gil. He's Mom is, at best, Tara Reid and at worst a partial cyborg. But he has a little chainsaw, which is cool. Thank goodness Al Roker appears from time to time to try to explain what is going on.
