Turmeric and honey and beer, oh my!

My friend's sister has been encouraging me to start a turmeric and honey regimen to help ease the aches and pains associated with several spine and neck issues (old age) I have. If you've never tasted turmeric straight, don't. The honey helps, who doesn't like honey? Today I mixed a ½ tspn of turmeric and 1 tspn of pure honey and took it straight. I won't be doing that again. My dog came to where I was sitting and sniffed my face and instead of the usual sloppy kiss he ran into the next room. Tomorrow I'll try some orange juice. I'll give it a week to see if there's anything to this. I have to stop taking so much ibuprofen and she swears it will help. She's a hippy who supports The Donald so have to take her with multiple grains of salt. With my luck, it will cause erectile dysfunction or hair loss.

Best of luck to you! Hang in there. I'm not sure what tumeric is, but it doesn't sound good.

Back pain sucks. Hope you find a way to deal w/that. Also please share if you do. My father was a fireman and hurt his back years ago (a roof fell in at a fire). He didn't have any serious problems with it at first, but over the years it has gotten worse and taken it's toll. At 88 he's kinda hunched over and has back pain basically any time he's mobile. I'd love to find an alternate way to fight pain because I fear that the pain pills he takes are causing other problems, and might be hurting him more than helping him.

Is there any PT that you can do? I'm much more of a fan of exercise over home remedies. Feel better Kase!

I smelled turmeric once and that is as close as it will ever get to my mouth
