Signature question

I can not figure out how to change the color of the text for my signature. I have successfully done this in the past, but can't do it now. I have tried HTML coding and the BBCode without success. When I post on the forum, BBCode is on so changing the color of the test is easy. When I attempt to do the same to my signature in the User Control Panel it doesn't work. My control panel says that BBCode is turned off. I can't seem to turn it on in the User Control Panel, but it is on when I am posting.

I turned it on in the signature settings (not sure why it was off or why it being off didn't prevent my sig from having color) but it didn't fix your problem. Weird.

I appreciate the response and effort. It says BBCode is turned on, but it still won't work. Not that big a deal in the scheme of life. Thanks for the asistance.
