Anyone doing anything exciting? I have a bunch of yard crap to do that I neglected in August but other than that very happy to have no plans that require travel... except to coolers and grills! #LGM #YGB #CRCEMA #bbbyyy #ynagaw... #CON4TO

Currently waiting to board a flight to Phoenix to visit my mom and maybe do some hiking for the weekend. Then off to northern California for work for a couple of days. The Cleveland airport is remarkably stress-free for a holiday weekend.

Shifting the plans a bit due to the weather forecast. We're going to visit MK on Saturday and help him adjust the height of his dorm bed. In an ideal world we'd go to the Mets game that night, but the iffy forecast is making us think twice. In theory we're going to a neighbor's BBQ on Sunday, weather permitting. If the weather clears up we may go to the Trenton Thunder's final game of the season on Monday. Weather suxx....

Working Friday and Saturday. The Saturday during a holiday 3 day weekend is usually a dog. The few calls we get are from nasty people who have nowhere to go or anything exciting to do and no real money to spend. (Our usual demographic, but worse) So they bust our balls and buy cheap stuff. I'll bring some crossword puzzles to work on. Later

Off Friday and Monday...so it'll be a looong weekend. No concrete plans, but the weather looks to be nice where I'm at, so hopefully some things outside.

I plan to relax and take it easy at home. Possibly do some grilling with a few friends, but planning a laid back weekend.

Twenty mile training run (and then requisite nap) Saturday, State Fair on Sunday, Southwick Beach State Park (on Lake Ontario) on Labor Day. BOOM.

Michigan has a neat tradition where the Governor (and his staff) leads a walk over the Mackinac Bridge, which connects the Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula. The bridge is about 5 miles long, and about 40,000 people participate. It starts really early in the morning, but is a lot of fun. One of my favorite Pure Michigan events of the year.
