Re: Division Series Game Times

Interesting. I was wondering how they would do it. They're aiming the Chicago game (with New York as the possible opponent) at prime time, while the other major market, Los Angeles, will get a 2:30 p.m. start on Friday.

At least I know I won't have to take a day off on Friday.

Chicago + New York or Chicago + San Francisco = biggest combined markets for potential viewers.

Re: Division Series Game Times

The Mets haven't had a daytime start for a playoff game since Game 1 of the Division Series in 2006; and that was only because the Yankees had a home playoff game at the same time. I think they had a couple of weekend day games in 2000 in the Division Series.

Besides, TV execs are going to milk this Cubs story as long as they remain in it and no matter who they're playing.

If I remember correctly, Game 6 of the 2015 NLCS would have been an afternoon game, but thankfully it wasn't necessary.

In 2006 I remember taking more than one day off from work. If they only played one day game, however, the other day off may have been so I could catch up on my sleep!
