With all the roster and lineup opinionating, this is the trickiest call for Terry Collins. Do you go for the high upside of Duda, the lower floor of Loney, or do you totally roll the dice with a righthanded surprise?

Didn't we learn that Duda wasn't feeling well on Sunday? I think his back stiffened up? If he's still having issues, then his health may figure into the decision; he may not even be on Wednesday's roster.

Re: Who's on First

I think you take Doodoo's temperature first. Have him spend an hour at the plate seeing nothing but Gilmartin/Smokey/Blevins and if you like what you see gotta go with him.

Absent of that I'd reluctlantly put Reynolds at 2B and TJ at first, and go to Doodoo if and when they fall behind, or the second they go to any other pitcher.

Anyone who picks Campbell gets a kick in the nuts.

Duda, I guess.

I think if you are going RH, then Reynolds is the best bet to get into one.

I probably go Duda though. Sucks that we are facing a lefty.

Maybe we can ask Bumgarner to throw with his right hand? After all, that's what Syndergaard will be doing!

Seems only fair.

I wanted to write in "Wilmer with a jacked up wrist" but went Duda on the small chance he loses one, or that the defensive shifts on him might create some baserunning craziness [via Muffy last post season].

Was thinking that too. Missing Wilmer right here more than at any other point this year.

I voted Loney. He's been hitting well lately (well, he's been hitting) and his fielding might make a difference if the game is close.

Yeah except Duda's hitting better lately and is a better defensive player overall, his goofs the other day notwithstanding.

That's the problem, though. If Terry's looking for "What have you done for me lately?" evidence —and he clearly does give weight to that sort of thin — it's the hero of game 161 vs. the goat of game 162.

Re: Who's on First

if Duda is ready to go, he goes. Otherwise, Loney. Terry is not going to start experimenting, and Campbell hitting a LHP is still significantly less productive than Duda, even with a bad back and facing a great lefty.

Re: Who's on First

Unless something's changed that we don't know about, Duda is the best choice by far and not starting him is probably worse than Buck not using Britton last night.

Duda, and he Kabooms in his first AB.

Well, provided Ceet's roster listing in the IGT is official this is
going to be a difficult task for Lucas.
