Also: Johnny Cueto (SF - 19 total points); Jose Fernandez (RIP - 18); Noah Syndergaard (15); Jake Arrieta (Cubs - 2); Tanner Roark (Nats - 1) Noah snagged one 2nd place vote, one 3rd, three 4th, and two 5th I suspect there were a bunch of Cubs fans with visions of going 1-2 in both the CY & MVP races, but it wasn't even all that close as Scherzer becomes the latest to pull of the AL/NL CY thing.
Plus back of the ballot votes for JA Happ (Toronto - 14 total points), Aaron Sanchez (TOR - 6), Masahiro Tanaka (NYY - 6), Andrew Miller (NYY/CLE - 3), Michael Fulmer (DET - 1), Jose Quntana (CHI - 1) Verlander gets by far the most 1st place votes but is also left off several ballots. He had previously lost to David Price in 2012 by just 4 points. The top three vote getters over all: Scherzer, Porcello, and Verlander, pitched together for the Tigers from 2010-2014
