So, you've got a date with Nancy Seaver. She tells you that, when you pick her up, she'll be wearing her favorite headgear. Which lid are you hoping she'll be wearing?

1. The red leather gatsby.

And you wonder why Tom Seaver is cool to Mets fans.

She knew how to wear a hat

Between the fedora and the big pompom for me. What do you suppose the note in her hand is? A grocery list? Tommie Agee's autograph?

I think she's wearing the same monocle necklace in each of the first two shots. She may need the monocle to read the shopping list.

If she was gonna wear the red hat from the first pic, I'd humbly request she wear that whole incredible outfit. I think it's a tougher hat to pair, so i'm going fedora.

I voted fedora too. It kind of has a bit of an Annie Hall charm to it.

The fedora is classic.

My missus is telling me that this is more correctly catalogued as an "Australian Bush Hat."

Nobody, but nobody, rocked a floppy beret like Nancy. Not even Mary Tyler Moore.

Headband for me. It reminds me of the fun Hippie days (How someone like Nancy who lived in Greenwich was a Hippie is another story, but ... )

Big pom pom was a close second.
But let's face it, with that punim, anything she wore would have looked great. (Except that red one)

I have to respectfully disagree. I'd pick Mary Tyler Moore over Nancy Seaver twelve days per week.

Loved that opening scene. I tried that in my elementary school playground but had a major fail.

The scarf lady in the background always reminded me of my Aunt Flo so I guess she must have worn scarves a lot

In its day, the beret with the pom-pom was referred to as a tam o'shanter.
