I just informed my husband that if he went to Jerrods, or Kaye, or whatever, and got me a diamond for Christmas, I would kick him in the jaw.

Just a word of advice, guys

I need to go to Jared's to get my wife's ring bi-annually inspected to protect the warranty, but probably not getting anything new.

Same here.

I'm not looking for or expecting a diamond, but I certainly wouldn't turn one down.

I guess they figured that a commercial where the girl gets all dreamy-eyed while telling her girlfriends that 'He went to Lumber Liquidators' just didn't have the same ring.

Fortunate in that I didn't marry a jewelry aficionado (aficianada?)

We have a plan. We each buy what we really want and then have the other one wrap it. Then we'll get smaller presents that are surprises. Works for us.

It's called 'being married more more than a quarter century and running out of ideas'.
