Still 2-0 in the ninth. When Damon tripled, the announcers pretty much chalked up a run for the US with Jeter coming up, and declared how the scenario of an extra-base hit for Damon with Jeter coming up must really whet the appetite of Yankee fans. Naturally, the runner scored not.
