Yeah that's real, I saw that story too.

Freaky looking thing. Looks like the Bigfoot of the ocean.

Yeah, it was so unusual that they had to give it it's own Family & Genus - in addition to it's own species name.
It's scientific name is something like Kiwa Hirsuta: for the fact that it was discovered near New Zealand and it's hairy

about the size of a small salad plate, or 5-6 inches.

and if you ever see one, swimming after you, you've already been crushed into oblivion, several thousand feet below the surface of the ocean in a very very deep trench.

The thread title brings to mind the REM/Sesame Street collaboration "Furry Happy Monsters." You've got to watch the video:

Thank God it's only six inches long, because otherwise, it would instantly become the scariest creature on the planet.

If he signs with the Yankees, George will make him shave.

Not to kill the Piss on George Parade, but the Mets have the same policy.

They didn't until they brought a Yankee in to manage.

In further news, the French military has anounced a complete surrender to the 6-inch long scary sea creatures.

Willie Randolph is not a Yankee. He was a Yankee.

Like it or not (and I don't), he's a Met.
