2017 Mets calendar actually might reflect reality

Usually the Mets calendars that appear in the stores this time of year have a bunch of long-gone players, but I'm liking what I see for the 2017 edition I saw today -- with one glaring omission: Granderson Travis Familia Harvey Conforto Wheeler Matz Cabrera deGrom Wright Thor Lagares Cespedes, of course, is the glaring omission. Calendar-makers must have suspected that neither he nor Neil Walker would return. Either one of them could have been in the Lagares month. But this is better than usual.

Maybe they should start calling in the Ex Mets calendar

These come out 9/1 and usually there is literally no thought put into it. I think they just pull the first nine mets that come up from googling.
