We old folks don't party like we used to. Watched Zootopia and the My Cousin Vinnie with the wife while I enjoyed a few cocktails. Happy NewYear to all my CPF friends. I wish you a healthy and prosperous in 2017.

Something I shared on FB this morning: We are greeting 2017 with a spectacularly sunny, Pure Michigan day. I'm making bacon. This is a perfect opportunity to take an assessment of what is going on. -- My son and his fiancee are safely moved to Traverse City and start new jobs next week. -- My daughter is doing very well at Central Michigan University, loving her work as a resident assistant and looking forward to a study abroad adventure this summer. -- My wife enjoys her job and loves having her Mom now living nearby, and they get to spend quality time together. -- Tug, the cat, challenges my status as the alpha male in the house, but generally acknowledges that I am responsible for his food, clean litter box and morning treats. We seem to have a truce. -- I get to work with outstanding people in the Governor's administration, and we are focused on an important mission that will help my adopted state move forward. -- Our parents and families are in good health and in good places. -- The Mets should remain competitive after bringing back Yeonis Cespedes with a great starting rotation that appears healthy. -- All the members of Rush and Kiss survived 2016. -- We have a new president, and while I don't agree with everything he says and does and tweets, it will be interesting. Much of 2016 was challenging. I'm feeling very optimistic about 2017. Happy New Year, everyone!
