Brought the TV outside onto the deck and watched Wilmer destroy the Cubs as some friends and I destroyed my beer supply. Good times.

I love Wilmer, but headline writers were all waiting breathlessly for an opportunity to use a play on "Finding Nimmo" and they finally got it. Now, they can resume having to work hard for a living. I'll give 'em this one. Later

I like both covers, but I voted for Wilmer, even though the emphasis is on 4 (his uniform number) instead of 6, the extraordinary number of hits that he got in the game.

A 6-to-6 tie so far. Looking for a few more voters (and hopefully an odd number of voters!) to make this tough decision!

I voted Nimmo because the photograph was better. Both of these covers suck though, as far as I'm concerned. Do some of you vote based on the significance or import of the back page topic? I don't consider that a factor at all.

For me it's a minor factor. I mostly vote on the overall visual image. Still tied, but now at 8-to-8.

This hotly contested battle has ended, and METS FIND NIMMO emerges victorious. The Post's path to victory narrows a bit more with this loss. They've only secured one of the eleven Sweet Sixteen spots that have been settled so far. That one cover, however, is the highly regarded SEEDS OF LIFE, so things aren't looking entirely gloomy for the Post. Three other Post covers are still alive, and are in polls where voting continues: GAME SETH MATCH, T.J. MAXX!, and YO GOTTA BE KIDDING!
