Here is a young man I adored very much as a young lady If you can find some way to connect with him, I would very much love that Do you remember: Ralph Kiner saying 'he's an EGYPTIAN" Sammy's dad was murdered for that...many years ago. Someone we could give some love to during the boring off season

Apparently he's still the only Arab-American to play in the big leagues. His Wikipedia page says he coaches at his alma mater and drives a cab in Tucson, although who knows how up to date that is. I checked the school's football and baseball pages and Sammy wasn't listed with either coaching staff.

Baseball brawls are generally just a lot of macho posturing. However, if a serious one broke out involving Kevin Mitchell, I would surely have wanted him on my team. That was one bad man.

That's some interesting degree of separation there. Ahmad holds the NFL record for the longest play from scrimmage not resulting in a TD at "98 yards in a 1972 game against the Rams." (quote from his wikipage)
