Further adventures in Jupiter: FiGT 3/1

The Mets "March" to Jupiter again today to take on the loathsome Cardinals behind starting hurler Marcos Molina and the following lineup:

Grandyman DH
Lagares CF
Conforto RF
Flores 1B
Zimmo LF
Cecchini 2B
Rosario SS
TJRivera 3B
RRivera C

Howie, who after a winter off sounds happy to be there, and Josh have the radio call, I think.

Not a bad traveling lineup! I'll be seeing them in Jupiter on Monday against the Marlins!

It's not a bad lineup, because the Mets are deep and awesome, but Granderson is the only first stringer, and he's DH-ing.

Here's what the Cards are countering with:

1. Dexter Fowler (S) CF
2. Aledmys Diaz (R) SS
3. Matt Carpenter (L) 1B
4. Jhonny Peralta (R) 3B
5. Yadier Molina (R) C
6. Randal Grichuk (R) LF
7. Tommy Pham (R) DH
8. Harrison Bader (R) RF
9. Former Met Superstar Wilfredo Tovar (R) 2B

Molina - Marcos - has given up 3 hits and a run here in the 2nd. Lagares guns out a guy at home.

We have a five-run third, with damage coming against Molina and Gilmartin.

Let's get the bats out, gents.

it'd be awkward to hit without those if they left 'em on the bus, definitely.

I know that spring play isn't really about outcomes, Cheech, but getting caught stealing when you're down 6-0 isn't really the way to go about things.

There's been a mix of good plays and gross ones so far. Today Lagares nailed Grichuk at home plate but it came right after Zimmo missed the cutoff man on Grichuk's hit would could have cut down the first run.

Earlier Zimmo failed to make contact on a hit and run, turning into a strike-em-out, throw-em-out.

i'm flying down to Palm Beach tomorrow night to see the Mets play there on Saturday. I think they'll be playing Houston.
My first time to spring training.
