A Cabrera solo shot in the first and a Doody Bomb in the second and the Mets are up 2-0.

Re: ISTGT: MIA@NYM @STL

A third solo homer in as many innings puts the Mets up 3-0, and makes me worried that the offense looks too much like last years, with too much of the surfeit of power wasted by not putting runners on base ahead of the homers.

And on that note, Syndergaard coughs it up in the fourth. Your score is 3-3.

We have a Tim Tebow hit in captivity.

Good for him. He got robbed on a good defensive play on Friday.

A double by Cabrera and a two-run homer by Neil Walker and the Mets re-take the lead.

Speaking of minor league call-overs filling out roster space..

John Mora laces a single and is now 2/5.

Big steps forward today by Josh Edgin, who struck out both batters he faced, and Robert Gsellman, who threw three scoreless.

Ginger Ben Rowen throws another scoreless. Unblemished this spring in 6 1/3.

He may be this spring's Big Jim Henderson.

The 2017 Marlins take it on the chin, falling to the Mets, 6-4. The New York Tebows even their record at 9-9, whilst Billy Joel's favorite team falls to 4-9.

The Yankees are actually 13-4 this spring. And they sent a carrier up from Norfolk to pick them up for free.

The hit wasn't exactly a thing of beauty, although he did make a fairly decent snag of a tricky low liner in LF.
