My contribution to their question about how to speed up games. Put a limit on how many pitchers a team can have on its roster at one time. That way you're simply not gonna be able to go out to the mound and call in three different pitchers in an inning. Pitching coaches will have to work with starting pitchers on pacing themselves so that they don't throw their arms out as often, so that they can go deeper into games or maybe even finish them. Which might mean less Tommy John surgery and fewer marquee pitchers sitting out whole seasons, which couldn't hurt the game.

I don''t have any problem if a team has 25 players on their roster and wants to carry 24 pitchers. I think all players should be considered "players" by the roster rules, regardless of how they are deployed. Because some Tuesday, an outfielder may be pitching, and the next day, a pitcher may be outfielding, and that's just beautiful.

If you want to cut the number of pitchers on the roster, cut the number of players on the roster.
