Headline of the Day

Frayed Knot
Mar 07 2017 04:45 AM

... or week, or month, or whatever.

I recently stuck one of these in an all-purpose thread but some websites are just too good and so I decided this topic needs its own space.

So in addition to last week's gem of: [u:2wtzzjk9]Man found buried under massive pile of porn mags[/u:2wtzzjk9], I now add: [u:2wtzzjk9]Wife poisons husbands Lucky Charms to avoid sex with him[/u:2wtzzjk9]

Re: Headline of the Day

Apparently some folks went looking for man who didn't show up to wherever he was supposed to be. This is in Indonesia, btw.
While looking they came across one of his boots. Nearby to that they found an engorged snake.
Cutting open the snake confirmed the worst case scenario.

Re: Headline of the Day

Another headline wondered if NFL ad revenues are about to "go limp" now that neither Viagra nor Cialis are renewing their NFL buys; one could even say that they're 'pulling out'.
The backstory here is that the patents for both products are about to expire meaning the market is about to be flooded with cheaper generic brands making hugely expensive ad
campaigns trying to out-brand each other no longer worth the money.

But before the teamsters haul the 'fuck tubs' away (I never did get how separate bath tubs promoted intimacy) and donate them to one of those house restoration shows, the

BRACE FOR A TRULY TERRIBLE HURRICANE SEASON

Now there's nothing particularly weird about that headline ... EXCEPT THAT I READ IT EVERY YEAR!!!!
Every summer, for at least the last ten and maybe more like 20, I read/hear how THIS year is going to be the one where, either by quantity or by size of storms, we're going to get our collective
asses kicked.
Except that, for the most part, large hurricanes making landfall on the continental U.S. have been below average in recent years but nobody ever changes predictions after they're wrong they
just go ahead and make the next one figuring no one will remember the last. And of course trumpeting that this is going to be a somewhat average-ish year for storms doesn't make the cut
when determining what leads the news.

why is that even a story? assaulting a soldier got you arrested? you are very lucky that is all you got.

Palestinian "adults" (adult-aged persons who lack the maturity of actual adults) encourage teenagers and even younger children to do these things to try and create fake news and provoke responses. their children are tools to them. they (the adults) are animals.

This is at least the third video of this little girl assaulting or threatening a soldier, so she's a bit of a hothead. NYMR is no doubt right; the kids in the family have a way of getting hurt and or arrested.

Not to say I agree with either side. It would be horrible to have to raise your children, or to be a child, in this type of atmosphere.

The thing is, with her striking looks, if she got educated and learned to be a leader, she could probably become a force for good. But who knows.
