A quick 5th though gets him to 77 thru 5, just a shade above the 15/per standard and more or less where you'd like to see him. Yes, it's a ballgame, and yes, it's irritating that it's a 10-straight-minute stint in the middle of the ninth... but Shulman bringing up Bumgarner's dumb dirt bike decision, then holding Boone's feet to the fire-- following a harsh-but-fair critique of Bumgarner-- about his own contract-violating off-field injury with the MFYs made for pretty compelling TV.

I figured there was little chance of Cespedes actually getting to the plate since that would require Reyes to successfully reach base. Well, at least the Mets won't lose tomorrow.
