Gah! It's the Ivanka thread. Have at it, cooby.

[youtube:16yg12j3]xHSisDPpOyo[/youtube:16yg12j3]

I can't decide whether this interview makes me wanna vomit or gouge out Ivanka's eyeballs, but I can see how Ivanka needs a security clearance to whisper sweet nothings into her father's ears.

I dunno, and ya'll are way more passionate about all this stuff, but if
the nutjob's daughter can remind him he's being a dick again from time

Don't get the cooby reference other than I know she likes a good blonde

Yah, KC you haven't sent me a blond joke in a long time :D

Batmags is referring to my saying he should start an Ivanka thread (baseball humor thread) an I told him I had a comment!

And here it is (get ready!)

I was watching an old "The Nanny" last winter and the little girl said she had a play date with Ivanka Trump.

There, that's it!

So I just put on the TV to watch the tail-end of the live coverage of Trump pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreements. And I'm seeing the pansy wing of the Democrats giving more credit to Ivanka for, once again, doing nothing.

Boy do I wish the Dems could do politics like the GOP. They're so much better at it.

It is really hard for me to judge how attractive Ivanka is. Obviously there is nothing inherently unattractive about her. But she looks like her father. And that makes me want to vomit.

I think by definition, if a woman's looks makes you want to vomit, she is unattractive no?

On the plus side, she's got legs for days, and-- if the book is any indication-- could whisper so, so many meaningless, repurposed inspirational quotes in your ear while you, um, take the bill into committee.

On the minus side, she seems to have an oily-skin situation. Maybe just when jackhammering, though.

First cunt daughter, Ivanka Trump, who already clinched the title of most clueless and tone-deaf person of the decade with years to spare, takes time out from her greedy money grubbing multi-million dollar scams based on abuses of the Presidency and the emoluments clause, to issue this lament:

Ivanka wrote:
[I'm] surprised by the viciousness” and ferocity” that greeted [my] father’s presidency....

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06 ... itics.html

How ironic, because I'm surprised at the viciousness and ferocity of her father's policies.

Wanna know what else? I used to think she was smart. I didn't have any evidence one way or the other, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because everybody else seemed to note how smart she is and that the Trump kids all turned out OK. Plus she has that Ivy League college degree. No more. Now that the National spotlight's been shone on her, I think she's a fucking idiot and I'd bet anything that she's miles and miles dumber than the generic UPenn grad.

What a total shit show this is.

When in doubt about how to insult people properly, I defer to Major Charles Winchester (as played by David Ogden Stiers).
The word he used, "cretin", perfectly describes any member of that family.
Some of them are registered cretins, while some of them are still working hard for their certifications. Choose your adjectives carefully.

What’s more likely is that Ivanka either agrees with her father and doesn’t say it publicly, or doesn’t give a shit about what her father is doing, because she’s not a thoughtful person. Either course of action would be out of concern for her brand.

I was late to realize that there was a "thing" at the beginning of this dirtbag's presidency where a segment of the liberal/Democratic wing was pinning their hopes on this cunt to influence the president. I didn't know what the hell they were thinking? That she was gonna persuade her daddy to nominate Merrick Garland instead of Neil Gorsuch? And with each passing instance of this movement, all the Dems were accomplishing was to lower themselves. It was self-humiliation, I thought. If it was the other way around party-wise, this cunt's career would be in ruins by now.

I have a real problem with the 'c' word applied to anyone. Even Ivanka. Even Sarah Palin. Or Betsy DeVos. or Ann Coulter, for that matter. Plenty of ways to express one's disgust, revulsion or exasperation with a person without going there.

We now rejoin our political grousing, which is already in progress.

Re: Gah! It's the Ivanka thread.

Oh, the arrogance. The delusions. The self-entitlement of it all.

First cunt daughter Ivanka reportedly imagined herself as the first female President

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/iv ... f99e207087

Ivanka Trump reportedly had some pretty high aspirations for herself when her father became president.

According to an excerpt from Michael Wolff’s new book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, the president’s older daughter and her husband, Jared Kushner, took jobs in President Donald Trump’s West Wing for personally opportunistic reasons.

The excerpt, quoted in New York Magazine, reads:

The First Children couple were having to navigate Trump’s volatile nature just like everyone else in the White House. And they were willing to do it for the same reason as everyone else — in the hope that Trump’s unexpected victory would catapult them into a heretofore unimagined big time. Balancing risk against reward, both Jared and Ivanka decided to accept roles in the West Wing over the advice of almost everyone they knew. It was a joint decision by the couple, and, in some sense, a joint job.

This joint job included an “earnest deal” between the two in which Ivanka Trump might make history.

Between themselves, the two had made an earnest deal: If sometime in the future the opportunity arose, she’d be the one to run for president. The first woman president, Ivanka entertained, would not be Hillary Clinton; it would be Ivanka Trump.

Also, Bannon is also quoted as calling Ivanka Trump "dumb as a brick."

Re: Gah! It's the Ivanka thread.

Batmags, even I have to say that the "C" word should not be used in a community that includes women, just out of general respect. If you ever want a sure fired way to get a slap in the face, just tell a woman in your presence that she's a cunt (I realize you're not doing that here, that's just advice, lol). It's just such a vulgar word IMO. It transcends cursing. However, calling her a pussy, dick, or ass is totally acceptable. This is just my opinion but I'm sure many here feel the same way. So please respect us as well.

It's a shame no one has the guts to really grill her on this. "Did your dad ever walk in on you changing? What age did that first happen? When do you first remember him making those types of 'we both like sex' jokes with you?"

Her next 20 interviews will be of the Fox News softball variety, where the questions don't get any tougher than what's your favorite color and she probably gets them like a week in advance. This is old news. The first cut daughter should've, by all credible accounts, been indicted for her scams involving Trump Soho. Ordinarily, I'd say she made her monthly quota of graft and emoluments abuses, hence the vacation. But she's no ordinary crook. She's a Trump and so there's no accounting for her boundless greed.

Hey! That took a lot of courage. The NRA was pressuring her dad to have a grenade roll on the lawn of the White House and she must have resisted.

What does that mean?
That was strictly a tongue-in-cheek fake praise of Ivanka, after you posted she was involved in picking the colors.
It was a slam at how easily her dad is influenced by the NRA and how she "bravely" confronted him.

I've used that line several times before I posted it here, in person and other fora, and it has elicited nothing but laughs because they see what a transparent person Ivanka is and dislike the NRA plan for placing weapons of death around children. This was my typical hyperbolic projection of that plan.

The left hand's home on a keyboard! When I was in 7th grade we had to take
a typing class all year. It was drilled into our heads that computers were on the
horizon and being able to type well was going to be very important. Of course to
11-year-old boys in the mid-70's you couldn't get more faggotized (that was still
a thing back then) than being hunched over a keyboard listening to Miss Applebaum
call out f-d-s-a space all year and we nearly drove her over the edge several times.
Turns out she was right and my skillz from that class have served me well.

She shouldn't have said that, and she should have known better. This just adds fuel to the fire for those who say that there's a "double standard."

I read some comments posted beneath an article about this (out of morbid curiosity) and there are people saying that what Samantha said was just as racist as what Roseanne said, because Ivanka is white and white is a race too.

The fact that idiots like that can vote is a fundamental, if unavoidable, flaw in the way democracy works.

That's an infuriating story because, reportedly, they had Ivanka dead to rights. There were self-incriminating emails that Ivanka herself wrote, and she could not possibly have wriggled out of the inculpating ramifications of those emails.

First count daughter Ivanka the c*nt talks out of the tenth side of her mouth when she bolsters her liberal feminist bona fides by working Justice Kennedy for more than a year to persuade him to retire under the Trump presidency. Think about it. 9..9?% of people, if asked to name candidates for UN Ambassador, would only have one name.

The Entitled Hypocrisy of Ivanka Trump’s Personal E-mail Account
By John Cassidy

8:07 P.M.

On a day when the President of the United States effectively washed his hands of Saudi Arabia’s brutal murder of the journalist and U.S. resident Jamal Khashoggi , it may seem a bit tendentious to focus on his daughter’s e-mail habits, but bear with me. Although there is no moral comparison between Donald Trump’s disgraceful toadying up to the Saudi royal family and Ivanka Trump’s decision to use a private e-mail address for official government business, they are indicative of a common attribute of the Trump family: overweening entitlement and hubris.

Since the night of the 2016 election, Trump has interpreted his unlikely victory in the electoral college as a mandate to do pretty much whatever he wants to do, including refusing to sell his business holdings or place them in a blind trust, and appointing his daughter and son-in-law to senior—if vague—positions at the White House. In a country that long exalted austere Presidents who viewed the Presidency as solemn public service, Trump crowed openly when he discovered that many of the federal ethics statutes didn’t apply to him. He and his sons, who still run the Trump business empire, have regularly used the Presidency to promote Trump properties, such as the Trump International Hotel in Washington, the Mar-a-Lago resort, in Palm Beach, and several of Trump’s golf clubs.

Trump behaves as he does because he is a bad man, but also because he has internalized, over the course of his career, an important lesson: the bigger the effrontery, the more likely you are to get away with it. (It’s the conman’s version of Goebbels’ “Big Lie” principle.) Thanks to the New York Times, we now know that the family real-estate fortune that he inherited was enlarged by years of systematic tax evasion. As a developer and self-promoter in his own right, he parlayed a largely disastrous record—bankruptcies, restructurings, bank bailouts—into a lucrative second career as a television celebrity and manager of the Trump brand. When he turned to politics, he bluffed his way to the Oval Office by exploiting mountains of free media, mercilessly attacking his opponents, and pulling an inside straight that ran through Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Neither his blanket refusal to release his tax returns nor the unearthing of the “Access Hollywood” tape halted his progress. So it is little wonder that he doesn’t adhere to norms—whether they apply to his business empire or the conduct of the Presidency. In Trump’s mind, only saps play by the rules.

Unlike her father, Ivanka Trump at least pays lip service to the First Amendment. (“I do not feel that the media is the enemy of the people,” she told Axios’s Mike Allen this summer.) But the First Daughter, as she has become known, appears to have inherited the family’s disregard for other rules and regulations, as well as its cavalier attitude to the truth.

In October of last year, The New Yorker, ProPublica, and WNYC published a report revealing how, in 2012, Ivanka and her brother Donald Jr. narrowly avoided being indicted by New York prosecutors on charges of fraudulently misleading the buyers of condos in the Trump SoHo hotel about how well sales were going. In an e-mail obtained by investigators, the “Trumps discussed how to coördinate false information they had given to prospective buyers,” the story said. “In another, according to a person who read the e-mails, they worried that a reporter might be on to them.”

Was that incident a one-off? In 2009, Ivanka said in an interview that a Trump-branded property in Toronto was virtually sold out. In reality, “24.8 percent of units had sold, according to a 2016 bankruptcy filing by the developers,” a second report from ProPublica and WNYC revealed. In Panama, the Trumps lent their name and marketing expertise—for a hefty fee—to a seventy-story waterfront development that opened in 2011. During the financing of the project, the report from ProPublica and WNYC said, “Ivanka told a journalist . . .that ‘over 90 percent’ of the Panama units had sold — and at prices five times as high as comparable buildings. Both statements were untrue.”

If you ignore the political context, one could argue that the Washington Post’s revelation that Ivanka “sent hundreds of emails last year to White House aides, Cabinet officials and her assistants using a personal account, many of them in violation of federal records rules” doesn’t amount to much. But, of course, the context cannot be ignored. For two years, Ivanka’s father traipsed around the country claiming that Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, when she was Secretary of State, was “bigger than Watergate.” Even today, he salutes the crowds at his rallies as they chant, “Lock her up.”

The Post story said that when White House official asked her about her use of a private account, “She said she was not familiar with some details of the rules.” In a statement, her spokesperson claimed that, unlike Clinton, Ivanka didn’t set up a private e-mail server, or delete any of the messages that she sent from a private account. The statement added that the “emails have been retained in the official account in conformity with records preservation laws and rules.” Speaking with reporters on Tuesday afternoon, Trump himself repeated some of these talking points. “There was no server in the basement like Hillary Clinton had,” he said. “You were talking about a whole different, you’re talking about fake news.”

Actually, it still isn’t entirely clear what e-mail arrangements Ivanka used. The Post story, citing people close to her, said of her and her husband: “The couple’s emails are prescreened by the Trump Organization for security problems such as viruses but are stored by Microsoft.” Presumably, that is one of the details that Representative Elijah Cummings and his Democratic colleagues will be examining when they take control of the House Oversight Committee. “We launched a bipartisan investigation last year into White House officials’ use of private email accounts for official business, but the White House never gave us the information we requested,” Cummings said on Tuesday. “We need those documents to ensure that Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and other officials are complying with federal records laws and there is a complete record of the activities of this Administration.”

You can hardly blame the Democrats for picking up a gift that has been tossed into their laps, but the main point here isn’t about record-keeping. It is about the hypocrisy, arrogance, and hubris of a family that has sought to turn the Presidency into another Trump franchise. “Certainly, I think it’s hypocritical,” Anthony Scaramucci, who served briefly in the Trump White House, said on CNN. “You can’t do that in that position.” Unless, of course, you think that you are bulletproof, and you don’t really give a damn what people think.
