Yeah, depression and related mental illnesses are a long road that unfortunately transcends the drama of a single event, but hopefully forward from here.

Really great story. So sad that people feel that despondent. I guess the fact she did it in plain sight of others was a good sign that she wanted to be helped.

A fitting successor to Steve Palermo. I guess umpires can tend to feel like the authority-on-the-spot in an emergency situation like that. Handsome devil too. Who says nobody loves the ump?
