Re: Fourth of July Question

...I refer to today as Independence Day, rather than the Fourth of July.

(maybe that just makes me obnoxious.)

i've got a patriotic garden flag all summer. It's blue and orange.

Why can't we just do "Independence day observed' first Friday of the month?

Re: Fourth of July Question

I think we've had this thread before anyway..

4th of July observed, 3 day weekend. Hell, make it the Saturday and still give us the three day weekend.

Opening Day. Obviously. Last Monday in March (or first in April but I believe we're starting the season earlier going forward right?)

Halloween is the last Saturday in October.

Friday after Thanksgiving is a holiday too. I know these would only be 'federal' holidays but in my mind all retail employees, even seasonal, would have to get holiday pay.

we're kicking back Columbus day.

I'm grossly overweight, drive a huge gas-guzzler, and have an insane loyalty to the supposedly amateur football team comprised of "students" of a college that I didn't go to.
Disclaimer: I'm actually none of the above but if I were going to show my red, white, and blue stripes, what better way?

That's true of Luxembourg. In fact, it's less than half the distance. ;-)
