IGT 8/8/2017: TEX@NYM -- Mess With Texas

The Rangers ride back onto our schedule and into Flushing for the first time since 2014. We split with them in June. We spit on them (figuratively) in August. No-Name Double-A pitcher (go ahead, Flexen, use that as inspiration) takes on Andrew Cashner, 7:10 PM. They're not the Dodgers, so let's not futz around.

Hey, we're going into the series with the dynamic duo of Chris Flexen and Rafael Montero ... how bad could things get? At least we won't have to face Darvish.

I'd worry more about the fact that this is the second time in three days that we're trying the 'hit 3 HRs the first time through the lineup then take the rest of the game off' tactic. It didn't work last time either.
